Fishing in Djuptjärn
Location: About a 5-minute drive from central Kalix. You can also get here by bus, bike, or on foot.
Fishing: Fish for stocked rainbow trout and Arctic char, as well as naturally occurring perch, pike, and roach.
Methods: Fly fishing, float fishing, spin fishing, bottom fishing, and ice fishing.
Season: The summer season runs from May to November. The winter season is from December to April.
Nature: Almost in central Kalix – nearby houses on Harstigen are visible, and a paved exercise trail runs alongside the lake. Power lines cross the lake, so watch your casts to avoid losing your lure.
Other: There are two fire pits and a wind shelter by the lake. This fishing spot is also accessibility-adapted with a dock.
