Fiske i Metträsk
Location: About a 10-minute drive from central Kalix.
Fishing: Fish for stocked rainbow trout, trout, Arctic char, and grayling.
Methods: Fly fishing, float fishing, spin fishing, bottom fishing, ice fishing, and trolling.
Season: The summer season runs from May to November. The winter season is from December to April.
Nature: Surrounded by low-growing forest, almost with a mountain feel. The lake has crystal-clear water and is mostly shallow, with a distinct drop-off about 20–25 meters from the shore where fish often pass by.
Other: Fire pits, a heated shelter, and several wind shelters are available around the lake. This fishing spot is also accessibility-adapted with a dock. Boats are available for rent.
