Packing Tips for Your Visit
Spring-winter (March–April):
Temperatures usually become milder, but it’s still very much winter, so warm clothing is essential. Sunglasses are also a good idea to protect against the bright sun reflecting off the snow.
Autumn:
For autumn visits, pack rain gear so you can enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather. Since moose hunting takes place during September and October, we recommend wearing a brightly colored hat if you plan to spend time in the forest. To stay warm and comfortable, gloves and waterproof shoes are also useful.
Winter (November–March):
During winter, make sure to pack plenty of warm clothes and dress in layers. Don’t forget a hat, gloves, scarf, and sturdy winter boots to stay comfortable in the snow.
No matter when you visit, keep in mind that the weather in Kalix can be quite changeable, so it’s always a good idea to check a weather app before you travel.
