Welcome to the Upper District
The Upper District is made up of around twenty small villages spread across the municipalities of Kalix, Överkalix, and Övertorneå. Vitvattnet is the heart of the area – a local service point with a shop, postal services, and a petrol station. Here in the Upper District, you can enjoy true country living without compromising on comfort.
Around 200 Kalix residents call the Upper District home.
Vitvattnet serves as the local centre, with a grocery store, fuel, and postal services.
Schools and preschools are located in central Kalix, with school transport available from the area.
